GIVE ME MY PANTIES!!!
Well today I went to this cybercafer today. I am glad that I don't have to pay but normally it would cost 20 pesos per hour, which is less than 1.00. The name of the cybercafe is Camber.net, incase anyone is traveling here anytime soon. The name of the street I think is called Espana. I was able to update my blog and look up some banking info too.
Update on my pc is well I guess it won't be here until Monday and I think basically that this country is holding my stuff hostage until I pay a ransom. I found out that they charge in US dollars and that my luggage weighed about 204lbs and they are charging .95US per pound which is about 193.80US but what they do here is they charge you taxes on every piece you bring here so I have been told that the taxes are over 200.00US so basically I am supposed to be paying about 400.00US just to get my stuff and that is not including the 75.00US that I payed to FedEx to get my stuff to Miami before it was transfered over to a Dominican mailing system. Some people here are telling me that this is a rip off so basically I am in a fight between the company that took over my luggage from FedEx in Miami bringing it to Santo Domingo and the company that is here in Santiago. The Santiago shipping company is saying that the Santo Domingo shipping company is the one who set the taxes and Santiago just paid the taxes to get my stuff to Santiago. Now Santiago is saying that in order to get anything corrected they have to request that Santo Domingo send a copy of all the taxes. When I get a copy of all the taxes I am supposed to be taking the paper to this Government Official to see if the shipping company in Santo Domingo actually paid all of those taxes and to see if the taxes are all correct and valid. I am assuming that once this is all done the Santiago shipping company may be trying to get a refund for all the taxes or a portion of the taxes that they paid to the Santo Domingo shipping company and then recalculating my bill. Until then, I don't have any of my crap and lord knows who is going through my SHIT!!! JUST GIVE ME MY SHIT!!!
